Prakash Gawde, a 55-year-old resident of Murdi-Khandepar, tragically died after a tree branch fell on his chest while cutting trees in Khandepar. Despite being rushed to the Sub-District Hospital, he was declared dead on arrival. Ponda police conducted a panchnama, and after a post-mortem at Goa Medical College, the body was handed over to his family for cremation.
