Resistance against the proposed Sunburn music festival in Camurlim is gaining strength, with over 500 villagers signing a petition against the event. The number of signatories is expected to rise as opposition builds. Former sarpanch Sharad Gad, leading the movement, expressed concerns over the festival’s impact on the eco-sensitive village and local youth. At a gathering held at the Ganesh Temple, Gad vowed to prevent the event from happening, recalling his past success in halting a garbage project in the area.
