A 39-year-old man was arrested by Mapusa Police for allegedly stealing ₹4 lakh from his mother’s cupboard at their residence in Khorlim, Mapusa. The incident surfaced after the mother filed a complaint, stating that her hard-earned savings had gone missing. Upon questioning, the son denied any involvement, leading the mother to approach the police. Investigators managed to recover ₹70,000 from the accused as they continue probing the case.
