AAP Goa unit has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of “vote capturing” during the mayoral election in Chandigarh. According to AAP Goa chief Amit Palekar, the election was rigged by the Presiding Officer, who is alleged to be a mole of the BJP. 

Despite having a clear majority, the BJP was declared the winner by invalidating votes of the INDIA alliance without fair reason, claimed Palekar. The AAP accused the BJP of resorting to unethical means and violating democratic principles. The BJP has not responded to these allegations as of now.
