A tragic incident occurred in Majorda when a large banyan tree branch fell on two individuals during tree pruning work. Ramesh Kerkatta, 18, originally from Jharkhand and residing in Loutolim, was killed due to head injuries sustained in the incident. The other individual involved is currently receiving treatment at the South Goa District Hospital in Margao.
