The BJP has lodged a formal complaint against Congress South Goa candidate Captain Viriato Fernandes, alleging that he has shown disrespect towards the Constitution. Digambar Kamat, a representative of the BJP, stated that Fernandes’ remarks have cast doubt on the integrity of the Constitution.

The BJP has petitioned both the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Goa to take immediate action on the matter. They are calling for Fernandes’ disqualification, citing his comments as grounds for violating the principles enshrined in the Constitution.
