The Tiru laddu, a signature prasadam with a GI tag offered to Lord Venkateswara since 1715, has come under scrutiny. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that the previous YSRCP regime used animal fat instead of high-quality ghee in its preparation. Naidu made these claims during an NDA legislature party meeting on September 18, stating, “Even Tirumala laddu was made with substandard ingredients.”The YSRCP has dismissed Naidu’s allegations as unfounded and challenged him to provide evidence.
