Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has directed the transfer of all Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs), Police Inspectors (PIs), and Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) who have been stationed at the same police stations for more than three years. In a review meeting with senior police officers, Sawant, who also holds the Home portfolio, emphasized that officers posted at preferred stations as favors will not be retained. He also directed DySPs and PIs to reside within the jurisdictions where they have been posted. Transfer orders are expected to be issued in the next two to three days.
