The Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Goa have urged action against the organizers of the Sunburn EDM festival, accusing them of insulting Hindu deity Lord Shiva. Congress leader Vijay Bhike filed a formal police complaint at Mapusa, while AAP Goa chief Amit Palekar called on the state government to take action, alleging that the festival disrespected “Sanatan Dharma.” Both parties pointed to the use of Lord Shiva’s images during the festival, particularly on LED screens while people were drinking and dancing. The Sunburn festival is scheduled to conclude on December 30.
