Around 250 workers from Mapusa, Aldon, and Pomburpa have joined BJP, dealing a blow to Congress and TMC. The defection occurred in the presence of BJP leaders Glen Ticlo, Nilkanth Halarnkar, and party incharge Ashish Sood.
