In a kidnapping for ransom case investigated by the Vasco Police Station, the South Goa Additional Sessions Judge, Margao, Kshama Joshi, has delivered a verdict. Abdul Kadar Javali from New Vaddem, Vasco, has been sentenced to life imprisonment and fined Rs 10,000 for his involvement. However, another accused, Salim Khan, has been acquitted due to lack of conclusive evidence. The third accused, Rajendra Kumar Kahar, remains at large after being released on bail. The incident dates back to June 2018 when the accused abducted a businessman from Vasco and demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh.
