Cuncolim police have recovered over 15 grams of melted gold, originally stolen as gold ornaments from Sushma Mandreker’s house in Chinchinim. The theft included gold ornaments and Rs 35,000 in cash. Three suspects were arrested, leading to the discovery that the stolen ornaments were sold to a Margao goldsmith. A case has been registered against the goldsmith, and the melted gold has been recovered. The investigation continues.
