A limited number of scrapyards are currently registered with GSPCB, while more than 800 scrap yards operate illegally.
There is a call to legalize these scrapyards, and Minister Babush intends to establish a committee dedicated to identifying specific land for scrapyards. Once identified, scrap yards are required to purchase the land.
