Ankita Volvoikar, a 26-year-old resident of Chorao, was fatally injured after being run over by a military truck at Merces. Despite being rushed to Goa Medical College (GMC), she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. The truck driver, Shubham Kumar (29), has been booked by Old Goa police for rash and negligent driving. An investigation is underway.
