FC Goa staged a remarkable comeback after an early setback to secure a thrilling victory against Bengaluru FC in a pulsating Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 season clash at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda.

Despite conceding an early goal from Shivaldo Singh’s strike, Odei Onaindia equalized for the Gaurs in the 22nd minute. The game took a turn in Goa’s favor when Bengaluru FC’s Suresh Wangjam received a red card in the 47th minute, reducing the visitors to ten men.

With goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh putting up a strong defense for Bengaluru FC, FC Goa intensified their attacks. Eventually, Boris Singh scored the late winner in the 81st minute, tapping in a perfect cross from Borja Herrera.

The victory propelled FC Goa to third place on the standings, with 36 points from 19 matches. With just three points behind league leaders Mumbai City FC and second-placed Mohun Bagan Super Giant, FC Goa remains a strong contender for the ISL title this season.
