A fire on the ground floor of a Fatorda apartment, triggered by a fridge, caused Rs 2 lakh in damage today. The locked apartment, owned by Derek Gracias who is abroad, saw severe kitchen damage and destruction to a nearby motorcycle. Neighbors alerted the fire brigade, and the fire was contained before reaching a gas cylinder.
