Garlic Price Surge in Goa Hits Chinese Cuisine

The price of garlic in Goa has surged dramatically, reaching Rs 400 to 500 per kilogram. This steep increase has had a significant impact on the availability and cost of Chinese cuisine in various fast food outlets and restaurants across the region.

The shortage of garlic supplies has led to this price hike, with traders noting a lack of demand due to the inflated rates. While additional supply from north India is expected to arrive in around 15 days, traders anticipate only a marginal decrease in prices at that time.
