Vinit Naik, a right-wing social media influencer known by the handle ‘MumbaichaDon’, has been arrested by Karnataka Police for his now-deleted tweets criticizing the Congress manifesto. 

Naik was arrested based on an FIR filed by Saravanan from Srirampura, Karnataka, alleging hate-filled tweets posted between April 22nd and April 29th. One tweet targeted Congress veteran and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accusing the party of biased wealth distribution favoring Muslims over Hindus, including SC/ST communities.
