The Startup and IT Promotion Cell, Department of IT, Electronics, and Communications in Goa, commemorated National Startup Day on January 16, 2024, with a day-long program at Fortune Miramar.
The event featured workshops, masterclasses, corporate connections, and panel discussions involving prominent figures in the startup ecosystem. The day, recognized as the foundation day of Startup India, was dedicated to acknowledging the significant contributions of startups to the nation’s development.
The event included the felicitation of 12 notable startups for their outstanding contributions. Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte, Cabinet Minister was the Chief Guest, whilst Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, Chairman, InfoTech Corporation of Goa, and Member of Legislative Assembly, was the Guest of Honour.
The day also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of IT and HDFC, wherein the bank committed INR 99 lakhs to support startups contributing to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The release of the Goa Startup Digest 2023 and engaging panel discussions added to the success of the celebration.
