On the momentous occasion of India’s 75th Republic Day, a significant step towards gender inclusivity was witnessed in the nation’s armed forces.

 A contingent comprising 144 women soldiers, including 60 from the Army and others from the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy, marched on the Kartavya Path in Delhi. 

In addition, contingents from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) also featured exclusively women personnel. This showcased a remarkable representation of women in various branches of the defense sector, emphasizing the commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment in India.
