The Anti Narcotics Cell of Goa Police has indicated actor and entrepreneur Kapil Jhaveri in their chargesheet concerning the 2020 Vagator rave party case. Jhaveri, the founder of Tirumalla Tirupati Multi-state Coop Society, was arrested on August 15, 2020, following a police raid at his residence in Vagator, North Goa, where narcotics worth over Rs 9 lakh were seized. Alongside Jhaveri, three foreigners were also arrested and charged under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Event organizer and businessman Shailesh Shetty, initially arrested by the Crime Branch for alleged links with Jhaveri and involvement in organizing the rave party, was not charged due to insufficient evidence.
