Environmentalist Rajendra Kerkar has informed that Karnataka has rejected the proposal for a joint site inspection of the Mhadei river. Kerkar expressed concerns that Goa could lose the battle over Mhadei if the inspection does not take place. 

Meanwhile, WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar mentioned that the state has not received any communication from PRAWAH following the proposal of dates for the site inspection.
