The Shirgaon jatra of Lairai deity, in Bicholim taluka is one of the main Jatras of Goa that attracts thousands of devotees from Goa,celebrated on May 12th . The village gears up for the 4-day long Kaulotsav festival. During Kaulotsav, the deity’s kalash is carried out from the temple in a procession, visiting each house in the village. Villagers perform pooja and seek blessings from the deity during this auspicious occasion.
