Locals in Lotoulim staged a protest today against the demarcation of land for the Borim bridge approach road, despite heavy police presence. Villagers expressed concerns over the impact on their Khazan lands and the environment due to the ongoing bridge construction. Environment Minister Aleixio Sequeira had previously assured the community that the access road would be constructed on stilts to mitigate environmental impacts.
