Mandrem Police, led by SDPO Jivba Dalvi, in collaboration with ARZ NGO, successfully dismantled an international sex trafficking ring operating between Uganda and India. Victims, economically vulnerable young single mothers from Uganda, were deceived with false promises of employment in Goan establishments, only to be coerced into prostitution upon arrival in India.
Through a coordinated effort, including assistance from the embassy, two victims were rescued, and one trafficker, Ms. Jojo Nakintu, was arrested. The rescued women have been relocated to a protective home, and investigations are ongoing under the supervision of SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi and SP North Akshat Kaushal IPS.
