Mapusa police have registered a case against a 30-year-old man, Bapu Kale, for allegedly pushing children into begging.

The complaint, filed by Childline member Myra Fernandes, states that Kale forced his children to beg at the Mapusa bus stand.

When Fernandes attempted to rescue the kids, Kale verbally abused and assaulted her. The complaint alleges that the accused intentionally used a minor child for begging in a public place for financial gain.

The case highlights concerns about child exploitation and the need for protection measures.
