The Mapusa NDPS court has sentenced Desmond Rodrigues, a resident of Curchorem, to three years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000. Rodrigues was arrested by Mapusa police on June 21, 2010, for illegal possession of 110 grams of charas. The court’s decision marks the culmination of a lengthy legal process.
