A tense situation erupted in Mapusa after a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) in civilian clothes allegedly forced taxi driver Ashish Vagdekar into a police van and brought him to the station. According to Vagdekar, he had stopped to inquire about another taxi accident at Peddem when the PSI allegedly snatched his phone and forcibly took him to the station. In response, hundreds of taxi operators gathered outside the police station, demanding an alcohol test for the PSI.
