Minister Vishwajit Rane is expected to introduce new amendments in the upcoming assembly session. These amendments will mandate that files from the Town and Country Planning (TCP) department, Forest Department, Urban Development, and associated entities be cleared within 15 days.
Officers who fail to meet this deadline will face a ‘reverse penalty’ and could be prosecuted for dereliction of duties. Additionally, agencies will be instructed to check the quality of work undertaken by the Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA).
