The heartache continues for the family of Danielle McLaughlin, the 28-year-old backpacker brutally raped and murdered in Goa in 2017. Danielle’s mother is now expressing deep fear and upset as the accused Vikat Bhagat, in her daughter’s murder is reportedly seeking bail to attend his sister’s wedding.

Danielle, originally from Buncrana, was tragically found dead in a secluded area of Canacona, Goa, on March 14, 2017, after attending a Holi party the night before.
