Namibian Cheetah ‘Jwala’ has given birth to three cubs at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. This event follows the recent birth of cubs by another cheetah named Aasha.

The reintroduction of cheetahs in India is part of the ambitious Project Cheetah, aiming to revive the population of these animals in the country.

Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav extended congratulations to the wildlife frontline warriors and wildlife enthusiasts for this successful development.

In 2022, eight cheetahs from Namibia were introduced under Project Cheetah, followed by the translocation of twelve cheetahs from South Africa in February 2023 to Kuno National Park.
