Mandrem police have arrested Vinod Rama Patekar from Maharashtra for thefts at Shree Hanuman Temple in Madhlamaj. On August 7, 2024, Patekar stole ₹10,000 in cash and gold ornaments worth ₹20,000. He was also linked to a theft at Ajoba Temple, Keri. The police recovered two gold ornaments and ₹3,958 in cash from him. Patekar, who has a prior rape case, is under further investigation.
