Minister Gaude disclosed that the state has allocated Rs 573 crore towards sports infrastructure expenditure since 2014, encompassing projects including those related to the Lusofonia games infrastructure.

Additionally, Rs 445 crore has been spent on organizing the National Games, sparking demands for an inquiry from the Opposition.

Leader of the Opposition, Yuri, raised concerns over the expenditure, insisting on an investigation into the matter. Similarly, MLA Venzy Viegas urged for a high-level inquiry, specifically focusing on the appointment of a strategic partner during the National Games.

Criticism mounted as the Minister faced challenges in providing satisfactory responses to questions posed by the Opposition, intensifying calls for accountability and transparency in the management of sports-related expenditures.
