The Cashew Fest kicked off in Panjim on Friday evening with an inaugural ceremony graced by Minister for Art & Culture, Govind Gaude, alongside esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Deviya Rane, Chairperson of Goa Forest Development Corporation (GFDC), and Poriem MLA, Ganesh Gaonkar-GTDC Chairman and Sanvordem MLA, among others. The event, heralded by its notable attendees, promises to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and economic significance of cashew in Goa.
On the inaugural day of the three-day fest, crowds flocked to enjoy the offerings of the 78 stalls. Mandated to feature cashew prominently, 75% of the fare centered around the beloved nut.
