Panjim police have made a breakthrough in an alleged high-end liquor scam, arresting three suspects, including the owner of a wine store.

The complaint, filed by a liquor distributor, accuses an employee of swapping premium liquor bottles with lower-priced Indian-made liquor.The manipulated bottles were allegedly sold to the wine store owner, resulting in a total loss of Rs. 40 lakh from October 2022 to February 2023. While two suspects have been released on bail, the third, who was initially on the run, has been apprehended.
