Panjim Police Crack Down on Rs 4.9 Lakh Casino Fraud, Arrest Three for Using Counterfeit Chips at Galaxy Casino

The Panjim Police have arrested three individuals accused of defrauding a casino of Rs 4.9 lakh. The suspects are Mohammad Shaikh from Ankola, Karnataka; Hassan Abbas from North East Delhi; and Ganesh Suresh Pawar from Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. The arrest followed a complaint by Ashwith D Suvarna, the Manager of Galaxy Casino at The Crown Hotel in Panjim. Suvarna alleged that Mohammad Shaikh introduced counterfeit chips resembling genuine Galaxy casino chips, each valued at Rs 10,000. Shaikh then allegedly had Hassan Abbas and Ganesh Suresh Pawar encash these fake chips, leading to the casino being defrauded of Rs 4.9 lakh.
