Phase 4 of Lok Sabha Elections Today, 1,717 Candidates Contesting Across 10 States and Union Territories

The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, involving voting on 96 constituencies, has concluded after the cessation of campaigning. A total of 1,717 candidates from 10 States and Union Territories are vying for seats in this phase of the election process.

According to data from the Election Commission of India, there were 4,264 nominations submitted for the 96 parliamentary constituencies nationwide. Telangana received the highest number of nomination forms at 1,488, followed closely by Andhra Pradesh with 1,103 nominations from 25 constituencies.

The 96 Lok Sabha seats include 25 in Andhra Pradesh, 17 in Telangana, 13 in Uttar Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, and 8 each in Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. Additionally, there are 5 seats in Bihar, 4 in both Jharkhand and Odisha, and 1 in Jammu and Kashmir.
