A 25-year-old adolescent from Sao Jose de Areal is accused of raping a 15-year-old Salcete schoolgirl. The accused allegedly used the victim, a class 10 student, as a pawn in exchange for a promise of marriage before repeatedly abusing her sexually at a remote location. The perpetrator was taken into custody after the victim’s parents complained to the police.
