A 60-year-old man from Navelim was taken into custody by police on charges of raping a 15-year-old girl. Remanded in five-day police detention is the accused. According to the authorities, the father of the youngster had gone to the police station to report his daughter missing. After the police dispatched a search team, the girl was located in Navelim and given back to her parents. According to the authorities, the girl told her parents about the incident. The father reported to the police that his daughter had been sexually assaulted and unlawfully detained in his apartment before being sent to Navelim.
