Five individuals, including a police head constable named Samir Fadte from Ponda police station, ANC Constable Akash Narvekar, IRB Constable Mitesh Gaad, and two others, have been arrested in connection with the alleged assault on Viraj Mashelkar, the owner of a fast-food stall. 

The arrests were made following an incident captured on CCTV, where the victim was reportedly beaten by the individuals involved, including the police head constable. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the details and circumstances surrounding the assault.
