The Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) held a special meeting to address the issue of Rs 11.71 lakh in outstanding payments to 83 daily wage workers, which had been pending due to contract expirations caused by the Code of Conduct (CoC).
Chairperson Ritesh Naik announced that the payments will be released today via Electronic Clearing Service (ECS).
