The Goa government has announced a holiday for all its employees and educational institutions on the day of the Ram Temple consecration, January 22. The sanctum of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple will undergo rituals including washing with Saryu water on January 20, followed by Vaastu Shanti and ‘Annadhivas.’ On January 21, the Ram Lalla idol will be bathed in 125 urns and laid to rest. The consecration of the deity of Ram Lala will occur on the final day, January 22, during the morning puja in ‘Mrigashira Nakshatra’ in the afternoon.
