A Saligao resident has reported an online scam where she was deceived through Facebook. According to her complaint to the Cyber Crime Cell of Goa Police, the fraudsters, operating under the guise of “Kids Model Academy” on Facebook, approached her through Facebook Messenger.
They convinced her to connect with “Admin Tiya” and “Admin Darlan” on Telegram, luring her into investing in Bitcoin and bytes with promises of a lucrative modeling contract and high returns. The victim, unfortunately, ended up transferring Rs 13.98 lakh to two private bank accounts between October and December 2023.
