Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) has affirmed its commitment to a green Panaji under the Smart City Mission.

The initiative, aimed at enhancing the city’s green cover, will be executed in a phase-wise manner. Following approvals, the project commenced, necessitating the removal of two existing trees that were obstructing ongoing sewerage and road works. 

A new re-greening plan is in place, with nearly 30 canopy trees designated for planting in the stretch from Madhuban Complex to Sheetal Hotel, St Inez.This initiative reflects the dedication to enhancing Panaji’s aesthetics and increasing green cover. 

The completed Menezes Braganza road and Dr. P. Shirgaonkar Road in Central Panaji have been re-greened with canopy trees, showcasing the commitment to the re-greening effort.
