The Pernem Police are investigating a case where an unidentified person stole a gold mangalsutra worth Rs 1.2 lakh from a woman’s home in Dhargalim.
The woman reported that the individual posed as a salesman and convinced her to hand over her 16-gram gold mangalsutra for cleaning and polishing. However, the person disappeared with the ornament, leaving the woman at a loss. The police have registered a case and are working to apprehend the culprit.
