After an extensive search, the man involved in the Mandovi Bridge accident has been identified as Javed Sadekar from Nachinola.

Javed, a casino worker and a father of three, was on his way to work when the tragedy occurred. The accused driver, Ankit Triparty from Odisha, has been detained by Panaji police.

The collision occurred when a rent-a-car attempting to overtake another vehicle collided with Javed’s motorcycle, causing him to flip over the bridge railing into the Mandovi River.

Despite swift rescue efforts by police and emergency services, cruise boats were unable to locate the body in the swift-flowing river. Only the helmet was found at the accident scene.
