The Progressive River Authority for Water and Harmony (PRAWAH) committee will begin inspections of the Mahadayi River basin today (Thursday). Officials from Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka will participate in these inspections. Goa’s Water Resources Minister, Subhash Shirodkar, confirmed that officials from all three states will accompany the PRAWAH committee until July 6. “We will show the PRAWAH members how Goa’s water resources, including the famous Surla waterfall located in the North District on the Karnataka border, would dry out if water is diverted,” stated Minister Shirodkar.
