Goa Medical College has withdrawn a previously issued notice advising the public to refrain from consuming food from the shops, canteens, and eateries located in front of the Super Specialty block and GMC premises concerns over the alleged use of water from a sewage treatment plant, raising apprehensions about potential health risks associated with the water source.

However, the sudden retraction of the notice has left the public speculating about the reasons behind the shift in the medical institution’s stance. As of now, no official statement has been released to provide clarity on the decision or to address the reported issue
