Vijai Sardesai expressed concern over the neglect of Khazan lands, a unique system found only in Goa. “Out of 18,000 Khazan lands, 4,000 are already destroyed. We initiated a policy to preserve and revive these lands, but it vanished once I lost the ministry. The government may have announced a new policy, but they make many such announcements without follow-through,” Sardesai remarked.
