In a tragic accident on Sunday evening, Carambolim resident Maria Cleta Antonieta Eulalia Varela E Pires was fatally struck by a speeding car near Dabolim Airport. The incident occurred as the victim was crossing the road from the airport exit gate. The driver, a resident of Headland Sada, Mormugao, was arrested by Vasco Police but was later released on bail.
